A sulfone antibiotic and anti-inflammatory agent that is a cornerstone in Multi-Drug Therapy ($\text{MDT}$) for leprosy. It is also used to treat dermatitis herpetiformis. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of folic acid in susceptible bacteria. Patients with $\text{G6PD}$ deficiency are monitored due to hemolysis risk.
